Students have a variety of options for their self selected reading time. Teachers utilize many online read-alouds from our blog as well as other books such as the one written by our visiting author. The students are encouraged to experience a wide range of literature such as magazines, newspapers, graphic novels, poetry, picture books, chapter books, and non-fiction texts. Reading conferences are held to keep the students accountable for reading goals during this time.
